The Start of Autumn at Malvern Autumn Show 🍁

The Start of Autumn at Malvern Autumn Show 🍁

This September marked my first time trading at Malvern Autumn Show. Not only was it the first time I’ve traded there, it’s also the longest event I’ve ever been to, with the most visitors - over 65,000 to be exact. I thought I’d break down my time spent at this amazing event!

First thing: the veg was huge!

I knew there would be an array of vegetables at the show, but I was not expecting this. In the quiet time before opening the stall, we visited the giant veg hall, I had no idea I would be standing in front of world record breaking pumpkins and award winning root veg.

Large pumpkins displayed on a teal table at Malvern autumn show, with a record breaking large orange pumpkin and a pale pinkish-orange round pumpkin in the foreground. Blue signs label the pumpkins, and the background shows a show hall with banner.

Suddenly all the pumpkins I have illustrated in my squash patch collection felt eclipsed by the pumpkins on display - the winning squash weighed 279.5kg!

It was also great to see more varieties such as carrots, swede and onions in their mammoth form! 🥕 🧅

At My Stall: Autumn has definitely arrived!

The weather was mixed all weekend, the showers signified the start of the autumn season. It outlined the mood for the weekend - my autumn range of textiles and stationery definitely was a standout! My heritage vegetable collection was especially popular,  a conversation starter at the show, it was lovely to see so much interest in growing unusual varieties. If you missed the Malvern show but still want to celebrate all things veg and autumn, you can shop my range of oven gloves, tea towels and an aprons here!

At My Stall: New A7 Mini Cards

I was so excited to debut some new products this month, starting with A7 mini cards and for Malvern show, A6 pocket notebooks! These proved to be a great addition to my stall and added some late summer/autumnal butterfly charm amongst my botanical designs! 🦋 If you missed them, they are now available on my shop here!

Overall, a great time was had at Malvern Autumn Show and I can’t wait to return in future. A big thank you if you saw me there and thank you for your continued support!
